Dr. Vijay Vohra has more than 35 years of experience in Anesthesiology after his qualification. He headed the team that established Liver Transplant Anaesthesia and Critical Care at two major centres in India- Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and Medanta- The Medicity. He also has 5 years of experience as the Vice-Chairperson in policy making and running a large department of 40 anaesthetists at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. He has imparted training in Transplant Anaesthesia to visiting / fellow anaesthetists and intensivists from 26 centres within India and abroad in the last 10 years. He also has an experience of over 1500 liver transplants. He was the First in India to develop and introduce hemodynamic and coagulation monitoring protocol for bloodless liver transplant. He headed the anaesthesia team that participated in all the firsts of liver transplants in India. He has been a reviewer of Journal of Clinical Anaesthesia, Journal of Anaesthesiology and Clinical Pharmacology, Journal of Clinical & Experimental Hepatology.
